Review: Nutrient Replenishing Conditioner

The product: This product does just what is says … it replenishes. It works especially well when used with heat, leaving your hair in better condition than ever before. There is nothing better than soft, shiny, healthy hair. Nutrient Replenishing Conditioner contains ingredients that permanently bond to your hair’s cortex, leaving it stronger and with greater elasticity. Once in awhile, you come across a product that is truly "the best" -and this conditioner is certainly one of those rare commodities!

Last week I decided to wash my hair, but when I finished I suddenly got super tired and didn’t feel like sitting under dryer. So I decided to try something different. A couple of weeks prior I purchased Jane Carter Solution: Nutrient Replenishing Conditioner from Whole Foods and decided to give it a try as my deep conditioner for the week. I separated my hair into about 6 sections. I detangled each section, applied the conditioner, and twisted. I put 2 shower caps on and my bonnet over the caps and went to sleep! The next morning I woke up and rinsed out the conditioner. OMG! My hair felt awesome! It was super soft and moisturized. Even after applying product to style, my hair felt softer than normal. I’m not sure if it’s because I left in the conditioner over night or if I would have had the same results if I sat under the dryer for 20 minutes. Regardless, I’m definitely going to use the product again! I think next time I’ll just sit under the dryer to compare the results. I’ve been really lazy lately, so after styling I just applied Shea Moisture Curl & Style milk, followed by organic coconut oil and eco styler gel, and simply pineappled my hair.

Have any of you guys used this product? How did you apply the product and what were the results?

FAR

A couple of weeks ago Christine gave me the Sulfate-Free Coco-Mint & Shampoo Mask and Supermollient Essential Fatty Acid-Rich Moisturizer to try:

Sulfate-Free Coco-Mint Shampoo Mask

About the product: Coco-Mint is a gentle, color-safe, sulfate-free washing cream that cleanses and conditions your hair without stripping it of its vital lipids. Rich with essential fatty acids and moisture loving emollients, this luxurious cleanser forms a smooth, low lather that eases detangling and penetrates the hair shaft to improve elasticity and softness and leaves the hair with a natural high gloss. Formulated with certified organic Raw Cacao, Babassu Oil and Coconut Oil, dehydrated hair will be left lush and soft with less frizz and greater texture definition.

Pros: it smells great!

Cons: must use a lot of product to obtain a good lather, price

Supermollient Essential Fatty Acid-Rich Moisturizer

About the product: Light but powerful, Supermollient is an intense hair softner, deep moisturizer and hydro-lipid layer rebuilder for ultra dry and brittle hair. Loaded with a select collection of botanical actives, restorative essential fatty acids and hair smoothing polysaccharides, Supermollient is designed to penetrate deep into the hair shaft to imbue hair with long-lasting hydration. Because it’s pH balanced, it also tightens the cuticle layer to ease styling and encourage shine. Some of the key ingredients in this exquisite moisturizer include; Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Peach Kernel Oil, CupuaƧu Butter, Babassu Oil, Aloe Vera Leaf, Olive Squalane and Bamboo Extract. Appropriate for daily use and safe for color treated hair, Supermollient will leave tresses with plenty of softness and elasticity.

Pros: Light smell. Works great for moisturizing.

Cons: price

Overall, I would definitely use the moisturizer but not the shampoo. I had to use a lot of the shampoo in order to achieve the desired lather. The mint provides a nice tingling feeling while shampooing but it made my hair a little drier than I prefer. The moisturizer was awesome. It did a great job my making my hair feel really soft and the detangling process was a breeze. Although the moisturizer was great, both products are kind of expensive so I wouldn’t purchase them in the future. Have you all tried this product? What did you think?

After using this product I just did a simple wash and go!

Do you have Dry Hair?

I have several new clients with dry hair and one of the secret to maintain that is Jojoba oil.  To use it, massage from your scalp to your hair tips and then leave in for about an hour.  After an hour or so rinse thoroughly.
